Overview
We’re looking for an amazing Senior Web Designer to join our Creative team based in Old Street, London on a contract basis.
As part of a strong, creative team you’ll be reporting to the Creative Director, and working collaboratively with a more junior member of the design team. You’ll be liaising with the Product Manager and Information Architect, helping to move designs from structured wireframes to final designed pages of this e-commerce site.
A fun but hard-working environment, everything is designed with the customer in mind. Usability is at the forefront, but never at the expense of, great visual design.
This role is for the duration of a site re-design, and will draw on experience and knowledge gained designing large-scale e-commerce sites. Some pages will be static – others ultimately templated, and so experience of making large scale, informative sites beautiful is vital!
Responsibilities:
Responsible for helping to re-develop the look and feel of moo.com, working closely with the Creative Director and a wider team at a senior level;
Working collaboratively with, and mentoring more junior members of the team on best practice.
ABOUT YOU
Experience & Qualifications Required:
At least 5 years design experience from an ecommerce background;
Used to working on large-scale, feature-rich web design projects;
Proven experience in designing static and templated pages;
Proven experience in designing practical, beautiful, informative ecommerce sites, to ensure a positive customer experience;
Experience in working as part of a team and delivering projects in a collaborative, timely manner.
Skills & Attributes Required:

Passionate about design and the Internet;
Must be very practical and always have the customer/community in mind throughout the design process;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels;
Proactive, confident and have a positive can-do attitude;
Enthusiasm, great energy and the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment;
An excellent eye for detail.
It would be great if you also had:
Start-up experience;
A working knowledge of HTML;
