PlayStation®Network Store Operations Manager

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) is the central support organisation for over 100 countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Australasia, marketing the world’s most popular computer games platforms – PS one®, PlayStation®2, PlayStation®Portable and PLAYSTATION®3 and the emerging online PLAYSTATION®Network platform.

The PlayStation®Network Store is the online store for distributing game related and multi-media content downloads via the PlayStation®Network.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

The role is responsible for the management, development and delivery of PSN Store operations. PSN Store operations include: The PlayStation®Network (PSN) Store, In-Game Stores and any other customer facing SCEE stores

The PSN Store Operations Manager will also work to improve efficiencies and processes for all e-commerce services related to the PSN Store and the PlayStation®Portal.

The role is responsible for ensuring that the PSN Store delivers the right experience and that the customers’ experience meets the business’ requirements.

The role has full line-management responsibility for the PSN Store Operations team.

There are four main delivery areas for the role:

· PSN Store Operations Strategy.

· PSN Store Project Activity: Manage the development and introduction of new content types or stores

· Management of PSN Store Operations.

· Development and Management of the PSN Store Team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce / web publishing and be used to operating in an environment with publishing deadlines. They will have managed teams of 15+ people.

There is a significant amount of change and expansion within the store in terms of content, features and devices, which will require the focus and lead of the manager.The candidate will have a strong and demonstrable understanding of publishing / e-commerce systems, so they can develop the operational and system strategy of the store.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

· substantial experience within a digital/media online service publishing environment.

· substantial experience of line managing and developing teams.

· substantial project management experience.

· Experience in business process reengineering and ongoing management of business processes.

· Experience of managing supplier and customer relations.

· Experience of systems development life cycle and Agile desirable.

· Knowledge of content management systems or e-commerce platforms.

· Understanding of workflow management and process automation.

· Knowledge of UML in the context of business process mapping, workflow and data modelling.

· Understanding of local country culture and behaviour across European markets.

· Above average computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).

· Degree in media, multimedia, marketing IT or management.

· Project management qualification.

•ITIL qualification desirable.
